Ula 学 — Privacy Policy

Ula — the Universal Language App — ("the app") is a language-study app by Legendary Bytes. We built it to need as little of your data as possible: there are no accounts, and we never collect your name, email address, or contacts.

What we collect

• A random device identifier. Created on first launch and stored on your device. It is not derived from your identity or hardware and is used only to meter the free tier and attach your Pro subscription.
• Usage data. The study topics and questions you type, which features you use, request timestamps, language settings, and approximate technical metadata (IP address, platform). We use this to run the free-tier limits, prevent abuse, and improve the app.
• Purchase records. When you subscribe, Apple or Google processes the payment; we receive a purchase token we verify with them and store to keep your Pro access active. We never see your payment details.

How content is generated

The topics and questions you submit are sent to Google's Gemini API to generate sentences and explanations. Google processes that text as our service provider; it is not used to identify you.

What we don't do

No ads. No selling or sharing of data with data brokers. No tracking across other companies' apps or websites.

Retention & deletion

Usage records are kept for product analytics and abuse prevention. Deleting the app removes the device identifier's keychain entry linkage from your device; to have the associated server records deleted, contact us with your request from within the app's support channel or the email below.
